(Releads with suicide attack on NATO convoy)
KABUL, June 30 (Reuters) - A suicide bomber attacked a convoy of foreign troops serving with NATO on the main road running between Kabul's airport and the U.S. embassy, police and security officials said.
The road was closed off, and Reuters witnesses saw damaged NATO military vehicles. The force of the blast rattled windows in the capital's heavily guarded diplomatic enclave.
Last week, militants mounted an assault on the parliament as lawmakers prepared to vote on a new defense minister.
