Split within PTI over tickets distribution in tribal districts.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The tickets distribution for provincial elections in the tribal districts showed split in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ranks as the party members from erstwhile FATA have shown reservations over the circulated list.
The ideological representatives have raised voice against the issuance of tickets to the relatives of the elected assembly members. The displeased party workers said that PTI has only awarded the investors.
Questions were also raised over the presence of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman in the parliamentary board. The unhappy members also alleged that no consultations were held when the candidates were selected by the party.
It is worth mentioning here that PTI will face difficulties until the 26th Constitution Amendment Bill is passed from the Senate. Senators from former FATA have also demanded to summon a session soon.
