I think we are missing the important points pointed out in this article. 1- We know the last elections were masterminded by the USA with the help of the UK. All four parties in power PPP, PMLQ, MQM and ANP are slaves of the USA, brought in to power and prop up by the good old USA. 2- We also know "Memo Gate" and how traitor Haqqani on the instructions of Zardari offered access to nuclear arsenal, full support, military chief of USA choice, military action against Haqqanis etc. 3- Rumors for months that Zardari could last for another term and PPP may be back next time. Haroon Rasheed breaking the news plans are in motion to buy next elections. Malik Riaz would have been a purchaser, in lieu he would have been given full access to the Government owned land worth billions and billions. 4- What Muneer is trying to point out "sullying the name of the Agencies" is something pointed out by Dr. Shahid Masood too. He said 6 months ago all of a sudden, out of blue the Balooch leaders in Dubai started to get telephone calls from Pakistani media on their views on "Missing persons" and intelligence agencies. The writer is confirming what Dr. Shahid Masood wrote. 5-We know the anchor most active had been "Hamid Mir" and some other traitors like "Asma Jahangir". Recently she has started a new mantra, her life is in danger from the Agencies. Strings are pulled. 6- We also now know that it is the military which is blocking the resumption of NATO supplies. Two recent statements, one by Gen Kiyani and second by Gen Shamim are clear evidence. There is way too much evidence pointing towards what this writer has written. I have already written on the forum Hamid Mir is playing flute on someone's instructions for over 6 months. Unfortunately Pakistani Journalists know a lot but they never name names. Keeping the tradition Dr. Shahid Masood gives hints but never discloses names. Sad and unfortunate.

very nice analysis but i disagree with the "missing persons" point

missing persons case is a REALITY..and our agencies have committed atrocities of the highest degree..and they need to be exposed and the missing person alive must be recovered.. i dont like hamid mir..but i dont care who is highlighting it.. coz it should be highlighted and missing person case is actually very important for balochistan..n if not handled with care.. it can create many problems..

so if u tie hamid mir to missing person case, we r actually neglecting the imp thing here.. which is the case itself..

I know Agencies do it, no doubt. But they don't have "Patriot act" in Pakistan. They don't even have good lower court and justice system in Pakistan. We know hundreds of target killers in Karachi alone go unpunished and released due to lack of evidence by the lower courts.
PPP is completely useless, they are not investigating the cases properly due to political pressures or their priority to keep themselves in power. Nonetheless, so much lawlessness and we hear nothing but "I have taken the notice" by Shaitan Malik.

Under such circumstances, I think they find no other way but to take law in to their own hands. I am not condoning the practice, I am just explaining possible reasons.

Imagine in the democracy of USA you could be jailed for 80+ years, if you are a Muslim and send some money to an organisation which is disliked by the USA. Give such powers and laws to the agencies and there would be no reasons for them to take law in to their own hands. Government has to do its job.

i follow u on twitter too.. but here again ur wrong about give such power to agencies

the problem in our country is that agencies already have too much power.. they need to be brought under control and under the law

bro, there is a difference between target killers and agencies.. agencies are supposed to work for the state..target killers are just killers.. there is no comparison..
govt is crap, they r not doing any job except for corruption..BUT.. the agencies should atleast be under the supreme court.. they r not even listening to the SC verdict..they r not producing missing persons..instead sometimes drop their dead bodies on roads.. this is just unacceptable..

i hate hamid mir, but the only thing i agree with him is about the missing persons.. dont forget, Imran khan was the first one to bring this issue into lime light.. agencies are not in control in pakistan and even im afraid if IK becomes PM, there will be a battle between establishment and him ..

I think you didn't get my drift, I wasn't asking for more power to the Agencies. I meant legislation and powers to the courts, better investigation and prosecution.
What I meant is, in the west the law is powerful, the police do their job, prosecution do their job, the courts do their job, therefore the agencies don't have to get involved.
Is this such a difficult job for us to have legislation and change in penal code to reflect the current situation in Pakistan. Why no government has worked on such legislation for years?
That's what I meant, the agencies do perform such acts, because they have no other choice. It is wrong, but this is a fact.

i have seen many ppl say that.. but frankly i dont understand wat kind of legislation is required??

doesnt the law ask police to punish anti state actors? or terrorists? or abductors and kidnappers? the main point is

the provincial govt shud look at all this and protest to central govt if agencies are not withdrawn.. but as it seems, the govt of balochistan is not even interested in balochistan at all...

Excellent analysis. Plz send copy to Hamid Mir and Ansar Abbas:biggthumpup:

Ansar Abbasi is still taken as a good Journalist (Even sometimes quite unbalanced to his journalist responsibility to stay unbiased) but Hamir Mir (anyone if knows his history from MAO College), he is one of top 'black mailer' (Just like Zia Shahid Of Khabrain Akhbar)
