Pakistan star all-rounder Shahid Afridis brother Mushtaq Afridi robbed in Karachi. He lost 100000 rupees.
He was coming home from Airport. FIR has been filed.

people get robbed of their lives everyday in Karachi....compared to that this news is not that much more significant...anyway I hope the robbers are arrested and brought to justice...

LAHORE - Pakistani cricketer Kamran Akmals relatives were robbed of 1.5 million rupees, jewellery, mobile phones and other personal items while on their way to attend a wedding ceremony near their home in Lahore.
Salman, Akmals brother-in-law, said that he along with his mother Riffat Ilyas and other family members were going to his uncles house located in Iqbal Town when the robbery took place on Sunday.
When we reached the outskirts of our uncles house, two unidentified motorcyclists, equipped with sophisticated weapons approached us from behind and held us on gunpoint, the Nation quoted Salman, as saying.
He claimed that the unidentified robbers managed to escape with a one thousand dollar diamond ring, 25 tolay jewellery, imported wristwatches, mobile phones and cash.
Meanwhile, Iqbal Town Police officer Faisal said that investigation is underway to nab the culprits. (ANI)

LAHORE: Robbers Monday night swept famous Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali’s house clean in an armed heist here in Lahore, Geo News reported.

According to Ghulam Ali’s brother, Ashiq Ali, four gunslinging heisters barged into the bungalow, located in Defence Block J, locked the family inside a room, ransacked every nook and cranny, and got away with gold ornaments weighing around 90 tolas, cash nearly Rs700,000, and several mobile phones.

The bandits were driving a white car, he added.

“The hold-up lasted about one-and-a-half hours ”, Ghulam Ali’s grandson told Geo News.

Film actor Meera was robbed of a wrist-watch worth two million rupees which she had purchased as an engagement gift for her fianc Naveed Shahzad. The actor stated the watch had been stolen from her house in Lahore. Meera wanted to give Shahzad the watch on their engagement. They will get married by the end of this year. The police speculated the theft was an “inside job”. Meera recently announced her retirement from the Pakistani film industry, after her parents on Sunday accepted the proposal of airline captain, Naveed Shehzad. Meera said that she wants to work a new reputation for herself by working with productions outside the Lollywood circle. She also returned Rs 50 lacs worth of advance she had received from producers she was supposed to work with. According to Meera, she does not want to be associated with Lollywood anymore and now will work with different production houses other than Lollywood. Meera also says that Reema Khan and Veena Malik have copied her as Reema Khan started production after Meera did whereas Veena Malik went to Bollywood following her example. Meera will soon be seen in upcoming Bollywood film ‘5 Ghantey mein 5 Crore’.

LAHORE - Criminals on Wednesday continued their activities across the city.
According to details, robbers stole goods worth Rs 250,000 from Zain Computer Center in the area of Township.
A citizen named Zaheer was robbed by robbers in the area of Green Town. According to reports, two robbers snatched Rs 80,000 cash, mobile phone on gunpoint and escaped from the scene. Another robbery took place in the shop named Malik Mobile Center in the area of Baghbanpura. Reports claim that three robbers entered the shop forcibly and robbed goods worth Rs 300,000, thousands of cash and escaped from the spot.
Nida Chaudary, a famous stage actress, also lost her car from her doorstep in the area of Johar Town.
There was also a major police crackdown on criminals across the city.

According to police sources, two drug dealers, named Sabar and Dildar were arrested and two-and-half kilogram hashish was recovered from their possession in Baghbanpura area.
In another raid, police arrested seven gamblers from Baba Jamil Dara in the area of Kotlakhpat, and recovered thousands of cash, mobile phones and two-and-half kilograms of hashish from their possession.
Police also arrested a Nigerian citizen named Stephen and recovered one kilogram heroin and one kilogram hashish from his possession from Kotlakhpat Railway Crossing.
A shoot out between police and robbers resulted in the police arresting one robber where his two accomplices managed to escape.

Two robbers stopped Muneer and his family in Iqbal Town police precincts and deprived them of cash, jewellery and cell phones worth over Rs100,000. Two robbers stormed into the shop of Azam in Iqbal Town police limits and took away cash and valuables worth Rs200,000.

TV journalist robbed in Lahore



LAHORE: Robbers stole cash and valuables worth Rs 5.5 million from the house of a television journalists in Tariq Colony, Nawankot police jurisdiction, on Saturday. Five armed men broke into Chaudhry Aqeel’s house and held his family hostage. The robbers threatened to kill Aqeel’s one-year-old nephew Zain if he resisted. They took 500 tolas of gold, Rs 500,000 in foreign currency, a licensed pistol and mobile phones. Police have registered a case. Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari and other members condemned the robbery and demanded the arrest of the culprits and recovery of the stolen goods. Ansari said that over a dozen journalists had been robbed in the last couple of days and the police had not solved a single case. He said if the police were unable to arrest the culprits, then journalists would hold a big protest. staff report

LAHORE - Two armed robbers looted valuables worth about Rs. 25,000 from a reporter of a local newspaper on Friday. The victim, Farhan Ali Khan, resident of Venus Housing Scheme located on Main Ferozepur Road was headed home on his motorcycle late Thursday night. As he reached the Kalma Chowk Bridge, two motorcyclists (bike registration number LER-1607) approached him from behind and forced him to stop his motorbike on gunpoint.
The robbers snatched Rs. 14,630 in cash, his mobile phone and wallet from Khan at gunpoint and vanished. Khan immediately informed the police about the mishap, but as per routine, the policemen reached the crime scene half an hour too. The policemen received application of the mishap from Khan and started investigating the matter. The case, however, is yet to be registered by the police, despite 18 hours having elapsed since the mishap.

I would say it is time we moved on to become a cashless society. When im in europe I never carry more than 20 euros in my pocket. No cash means nothng to rob.
