Several suspects arrested post Peshawar check post attack

PESHAWAR: Police have arrested several suspects from Zangli area after a check post was attacked in Peshawar late on Wednesday night, Geo News reported Thursday.

According to police, extremists ambushed a police check point in the vicinity of Budh Bair police station where the cross fire between the attackers and security forces continued for 30 minutes.

Following the exchange of fire, the assailants fled from the scene, however no casualty was reported fortunately.

After the attack, police launched a search operation in Budh Bair and other adjoining areas in order to apprehend the culprits. Sources told that several suspects were arrested during the raids.

KPK police efficiency appear to be increasing by the day.

More arrests hopefully will turn into more convictions/punishments.....

KPK police need to be given the best training and equipment possible for KPK government to give. We should try to make it like the SWAT equivalent. That is what is required in the hour of need. Intelligence service should be the best as well, a good commander inshallah can get us results.

Scatter at least 1000 trained intelligence officers on the streets of KPK, and some of them should work as spies in terrorists organisations so that we can get information about them.
