Dr Aamir Liaquat Husain will throw light on the fact that the martyrdom of Imam
Husain (as) was an effort to safeguard the seal of prophet and protect Islam
form enemies. He will share the historical facts how Hazrat Imam Husain (ra) and
his companions having great patience faced the oppression and tyranny of the
enemies in the ten days of Karbala. This program will be aired daily from 2nd to
10th Moharram, duration will be 20 minutes.

Unprecedented unity displayed in Geos Ashura broadcast - The News International
KARACHI: Twelve-hour-long special transmission Fatima Ka Chand had been broadcast by Geo to pay homage to the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his
companions in the maidan-e-Karbala. Eminent Ulema belonging to all schools of thought paid glowing tributes to the greatest Imam in the transmission that continued from 1 pm to late in the night on Sunday.
They also conveyed messages for the unity in the Ummah and hailed the services of Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain in brining close different schools of thought. They termed
him a real flag-bearer of pan-Islamic unity.Talking to Dr Aamir in the programme Aalim Aur Aalim, the Central Spokesman of Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslemeen Pakistan, Allama Hasan Zafar Naqvi, hailed the
services of Geo network and Dr Aamir for the cause of unity amongst Muslims. He said it was time to eradicate extremist mindset from the society and to promote tolerance. In this connection the services offered by Dr Aamir were laudable.Taking part in the programme from South Africa on telephone, noted religious scholar Allama Kaukab Noorani Okarvi said comparing Imam Hussain with tyrant rulers is the worst ignorance. No Muslim has soft corner for Yazid, as his character is condemnable and his black deeds are a stain in the history.The Mohtamim of Jamia Darul Khair, Qari Usman Yar Khan, explained that we are ready to tolerate other religions and sects but sectarian killings cannot be tolerated.Former member of the Council of Islamic Ideology, Mufti Muhammad Ibrahim, while quoting parts of the Khutba of Imam Aali Moqam, said that he never wanted war. Thats why before the war erupted; he addressed the Yazidi troops.Secretary General, Sunni Ittehad Council, Haji Hanif Tayyab was of the view that Imam Hussain (AS) proved all the three kinds of Jehad i.e. Jehad Bil Lisaan, Jehad Bin Nafs and Jehad Bis Saif through his deeds.The Nazim of Markazi Jameeat-e-Ahle Hadees, Karachi, Qari Khalilur Rehman Javed, extending positive message of solidarity on the day of Aashur, said it was the time to promote common principles not to promote disintegration.The former director of Sheikh Zaid Islamic Centre, University of Karachi, Dr Fazal Ahmad, said we cannot imagine our state of affairs had Imam Hussain bowed before tyranny and went into agreement with anti-Islamic forces.Prominent Shia scholar and leader of MWM Prof Syed Muhammad Ali Zaidi Al Husaini welcomed Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussian for promoting unity and solidarity among Muslims.The Mohtamim of Darul Uloom Muhammadia Ghosia, Moulana Khalilur Rehman Chishti, said unity and solidarity, not disunity and disintegration, is the message of
Karbala. Therefore, all of us should pledge on this occasion our support to all efforts for elimination of hatred.
Highlighting the lesson of Karbala, Maulana Asghar Dars in his forceful talk said Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) did not complain in the sea of difficulties while people are worried in routine trial.The Nigrane Aala of Ziaee Research Library Allama Naseem Ahmad Siddiqui said Imam Hussain (AS) carried the body of his young son but refused to move.Talking on telephone from Multan during the broadcast, Markazi Imam Hussain Council Chairman Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi said it was time to forget sectarian differences and popularise Hussaini thoughts.Popular poet of Naat Allama Nisar Ali Ujagar from Darululoom Amjadya said that two extremes are visible in the event of Karbala. Highlighting the lesson of Karbala, Maulana Asghar Dars in his forceful talk said Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) did not complain in the sea of difficulties while people are worried in routine trial.
The Nigrane Aala of Ziaee Research Library Allama Naseem Ahmad Siddiqui said Imam Hussain (AS) carried the body of his young son but refused to move.
Talking on telephone from Multan during the broadcast, Markazi Imam Hussain Council Chairman Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi said it was time to forget sectarian differences and popularise Hussaini thoughts.

Paying tributes to Syeda Zainab, he said her firm standing after the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions was the singular example in the history of the world.
In the dying moments of the marathon broadcast, spread over 12 hours, the spellbound narration of Manqabat Main To Panjtan Ka Ghulam Hoon by Alhaj Imran Sheikh Attari, Ahmad Raza Qadri, Rehan Qadri, Hafiz Tahir Qadri and Dr Aamir moved the viewers.
After the broadcast, there were continuous telephone calls in the offices of Daily Jang, The News and Geo in which thousands of people hailed Geo Network and Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussian for their efforts in highlighting the most important event of the Islamic history in a befitting manner.
