ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly was informed on Monday that Rs29.765 million had been incurred on the VVIP flight to bring Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif back to the country from London after his treatment there.

The prime minister had returned home on July 9 this year from London after staying there for around one-and-a-half months for his medical treatment.

He had undergone an open heart surgery at a London hospital on May 31 and returned to Lahore from London in a special aircraft of the national flag carrier.

During the question-hour session, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, speaking on behalf of Minister in charge of the Aviation Division, informed the house that Rs 29.765m had been incurred on the VVIP flight that brought the prime minister back to the country.

Examine: What about us, Mr Prime Minister?

He was responding to a question asked by PPP lawmaker Musarat Rafique Mahesar, who had sought details of the expenditure incurred to bring back the prime minister from London aboard the special charted plane and details of the amount paid as parking fees at the London airport.

In the reply, the minister said that amount had been calculated on the cost-to-cost basis and not on the basis of average revenue being earned.

He further said that the average revenue earning at the time had been Rs18.2m. The minister, however, said that no parking fees had been paid at London airport.

MQM lawmaker Sajid Ahmed criticised the prime minister for going abroad for medical treatment. Why cant we build such hospitals in Pakistan? he asked.

ha ha, 1 crore net income, the best declared income of his life, goes very far for this criminal. I wish he can tell me how he can stretch it, I got similar kind of income and I am struggling to make my ends meet.
Remember as a British citizen that medical treatment is free for me. Despite free medical and all other benefits available to us all, I struggle to have even a holiday. Not been to Pakistan for over 6 years. While this joker takes 6 trips or more of London every year in same income. Howwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!

Why this Nawaz thief, the arrogant and 'ziddi' could not come back on a commercial flight in a business or first class instead of spending poor countrymen's money for his return to homeland, which is for him a foreign land unless and until he is a PM, and for him Pakistan is only to rob, make money and then live most of his time in London, or escape to Jeddah. We do'nt need him anyway as he does not attend Parliament sessions, no cabinet meetings except meeting with few of his blue eyed, no foreign minister, no solid clear foreign policy, no statements about India and his beloved friend Modi no matter what Modi does and says against Pakistan, then on top of it Panama, London flats, money laundering, paying income tax like peanuts, making joke of constitution and bringing amendments to suit him, his family and his corrupt cronies. He has blocked all ways to remove him constitutionally because of PML-N majority in the Parliament due to rigged elections and then with the support of selfish politicians like so-called 'Maulana' Fazal, who has sold his conscience and 'deen' for the worldly gains, so the only available options to remove him from the premiership are either through the stick, or majority of people agitating on the road like during Bhutto and Ayub Khan's last days, or else through fair elections, and this is what Imran Khan is trying to do which is every Pakistani's democratic right, but the opportunist opposition, PPP, Fazal Rehman, ANP and others for their own selfish agendas, they are not caring for the country and not helping Imran Khan. This leaves only one option available, and that's stick. I wish for something like the French revolution so once for all we get rid of all these corrupt selfish politicians. May Allah SWT help, strengthen and grant success to those who are capable and sincere to the country and people of Pakistan, Aameen, and O' Allah SWT You know best that who are those people, You know best what is in their chest, so kindly shower your mercy on us and save our beloved Pakistan from the clutches of corrupt and incapable so-called leaders and from the internal and external enemies and their conspiracies, O' Allah, the Most Kind and the Most Merciful, please accept our prayers, Aameen.
