Rawalpindi—Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi, Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja Wednesday inaugurated one-window Licensing Facilitation center at Traffic Headquarters complex where licensing services have been provided by City Traffic Police (CTP) under one roof.
A ceremony was held here at CTP office with RPO as the Chief Guest and attended by City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, City Traffic Officer (CTO), Shoaib Khurram Janbaz, Assistant Commissioner (AC) City Maliah Jamal, PML-N local leader Dr. Jamal Nasir and other officials of the CTP.
Later, talking to media, the RPO said, earlier the licensing facilities were provided in different departments because of which the public faced inconvenience. However, through this system, now the public would be facilitated at one center.
He said, steps are also being taken to set up a Pakistan Post counter in the facilitation center for providing licensing tickets.
To a question the RPO said, registration of First Information Reports (FIRs) would be computerized in Police Stations of the city.
Front Desks would also be set up in 18 Police Stations of Rawalpindi to facilitate the citizens and to make police stations environment people friendly.
CTO on the occasion said, the basic objective of the facilitation center is to facilitate the residents by ensuring effective delivery of licensing services without any inconvenience.
