Rishi Kapoor demands Pakistani Cricketers in IPL

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor has urged authorities to draft in Pakistani players in the Indian Premier League T20 citing the inclusion of Afghanistan players Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan, who are part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad.


The Bollywood veteran Rishi Kapoor took to twitter and urged the concerned authorities to include Pakistani players in the IPL once again.

You got world players. Afghanistan makes debut. My plea is please consider Pakistani players, he wrote.

"IPL. You got world players. Afghanistan makes debut. My plea is please consider Pakistani players. Phir match hoga! Hum bade log hain. Please!"

The 10th edition of the lucrative T20 league kicks off at Hyderabad on Wednesday with Royal Challengers Bangalore locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad.

No Pakistani player has been a part of the IPL since after 2008, its year of inception. Azhar Mahmood, however, featured in quite a few editions representing Kings XI Punjab owing to his British passport.

In IPL 2017, two Afghanistan cricketers -- Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan -- will make their debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Though the two nations continue to play cricket in international tournaments, they havent played a Test series in nearly a decade.

People who boycott Indian films and cricket matches don't care about viewer ship figures.They do it because they are against India.It is a well known fact that India is funding and training terrorists in Afghanistan and Balochistan against Pakistan.India is an enemy of Pakistan as well as of all muslims.This is the reason I don't watch any cricket match if it involves India.

Declining interest in IPL: Viewership numbers for this season second lowest for all seasons

[FONT=&amp]IPL 8 had a TV viewership of 4.5 in the first week, whereas the TVR for this edition in the corresponding period has been 3.5.

Confirming Times of India's report that the IPL viewership numbers for this season have been quite low, figures released show that this is the second poorest start to an IPL season in terms of audience interest.
According to a report in an English daily, the latest numbers released by the new rating mechanism of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), which took over from the erstwhile TAM ratings from March, indicate that the IPL had an average Television Viewership Rating (TVR) of 3.50 for the first six matches.
