ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik announced that he will recommend Sitara-e-Shujaat for Shazia and Kainat the two girls who were injured alongside Malala Yousafzai in an attack by Taliban, reported Express News.
Speaking to the media at Pims Hospital in Islamabad, Malik said that Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan was involved in the attack on the child rights activist.
He added that Malalas father has requested the British government to extend his visa.
Malala was shot in the head by the Taliban on October 9, when she, along with other girls from the school were on their way to school for speaking against them. She is currently under treatment at a hospital in Birmingham.
