Brothers,

I have read and think over on the following Surey, Al-Nisa, Ayat 43:
s004v043.gif

43. O ye who believe! approach not prayers with a mind befogged until ye can understand
all that ye say nor in a state of ceremonial impurity (except when travelling on the road) until after washing your whole body if ye are ill or on a journey or one of you cometh from offices of nature or ye have been in contact with women and ye find no waterthen take for yourselves clean sand or earth and rub therewith your faces and hands. For Allah doth blot out sins and forgive again and again.

In my opinion I / we (peoples who are not familiar with Arabic language), should recite Ayats in our prayers (SALATS) in our own language or we should clearly understand the meanings of those Ayats.

I need guidance and input from the brothers to this basic issue.

Translation of Quran Majeed is not Quran, we should pay attention on Tajweed and try to learn Arabic at least the running Translation so we many know what is being recited.
Reading translation will create further division and difference.

Salaamu 3alaikum wr wb,

It is Correct to read Al Quran with Tajweed and Tarteel , thats why the Classic scholars like Imam Bukhari,Muslim etc. They werent Arabs but they learned the Arabic language. But the Translation of the meaning of Quran isnt Quran but it is the Meaning. But we have At Tafseer in which its also easy to understand al Quran. But i motivate every Muslim to learn the Arabic language like when we live in West we learn the Language of these people and Countries , then why we dont try to learn the Language in which Allaah subhanahuwata3ala spoke to us.

In shaa2 Allaah take it as a Naseehat first for me then for others!

surely Qurran is to be recited in Arabic as sent by Allah. Allah knew all these problems which v r facing but still HE sent it in Arabic.the only way out is to recite in Arabic or try to remember the translation of few Aayat and recite those in prayers. rest u may read it with translation because it is sent for to practice in our life.practice could be done only when v understand it.Allah has made it easy to understand as per Qurran it self.

There is no question on the recitation of Quran in Arabic in which it was revealed by Allah. In quran Allah also explained the logic why Quran was revealed in Arabic.
The fact is that now a day the majority of Muslims in the world consists of non-Arabic. They became Muslim after getting the message of Allah in their own different language.
No doubt the Azan and Kalama we all understand, but the Salat is the process in which Muslims have to recite Quran (Complete in different times of pray) and the Order of Allah is to 'Understand, what you say" in Salat. The logic behind it that when we actually understand, what we says in prays it will leads us toward the implementation of its meaning in our life and on the earth. It is the way by which we can become "Real Muslims" instead of "Born Muslims"

It is strongly discouraged by the experts of Islamic teaching to understand Quran and Sunnah without supervision of Sheikh because there are extreme chances of untrained reader to misinterpret the fiqh of Quran and Hadith.

Someone told Imam Abu Hanifah (May Allah bless him): "In the mosque there is a circle (Halaqah) in which the people are looking at fiqh." He asked, "Do they have a head (i.e. a teacher)?" The man replied, "No." The Imam said, "They will never gain knowledge of fiqh."

Your or my opinion doesn't have any value in Islam unless supported by any valid reference from classical Islamic literature.

We should make it our priority to learn Arabic language and Tajweed of Quran. Atleast, we should memorize the Quranic verses, Tashahhud,Durood Shareef, and Supplications needed to complete the prayer.

Finally, We can only perform our Namaz (Prayer) in Arabic language and the specific verse of Quran which you have mentioned in your post has not open the door for us to perform prayer in native language.

There is no doubt about the Arabic importance in our DEAN. My point of voew is that when we pray Salat, we must know each and every word we say in the light of the referred Ayat of Quran. Therefore, we should look into to develop a mecanism where wit the Arabic we should say in our language in order to understand what we are saying to Allah. This will lead us to get the practical muslims instead of converting our salat just as a tradition.

about the requirement of head(teacher) yes for learning the recitation of Quraan but for understanding it Allah says, HAM NE ISAY SAMAJHNE KE LIYA AASAN KERDIA HAY IO HAY KOI SAMJHNEY WALA or words to that effect. i m firm believer of it.it is a message of Allah sent through to us in Quraan.it is matter of sincere effort to understand.may Allah grant us TAUFEEQ to understand it in a correct perspective.
