Well no one can stop anyone to have fun in their life, but if you or anyone relate or add anything with time tested and proven teachings of islam is unacceptable.
If it’s your personal gathering good but if you put it on media then many will object.

Whose teachings? Mullah biradari teachings? Why is it unacceptable? Who said its unacceptable and where does it say its unacceptable? Everything that is haram has been clearly mentioned in the Quran. So do not make unlawful those things which are not.
Its only made unacceptable by our mullah biradari who are grumpy old men themselves, taken one hadith and turned into universal muslim law on their own and have been promoting this.. because it serves their purpose.

sorry we don’t believe or listen to Ghamdi sahib, quote any other scholars not necessarily from Pakistan or don’t have to be deobandi or Berailvi

We will fast on 1st Ramadan 25th April Saturday In sha Allah. In Toronto.
First day of tarahwi is on 24th Friday In sha Allah

Why I shared it ???
I heard a toddler singing 'Ramadan is here' Allahs Mercy is near'. A toddler who doesn't understand what Ramadan is. Thar just brought so much happiness to me.
Here in Canada we tell kids this is our festival season. We decorate our homes with lights, banners other decorations.
we get them expensive presents so they can relate to this month and the Eid after it. Much like the way Christians celebrate Xmas big time.
I hope everyone gets the perspective.

Well your loss if you don't listen to someone who makes the most sense in today's time. Even if you don't. My question still stands, whose teachings? And where and who says this is haram.

OK Thanks, I am in Calgary and we are having our first Ramadan today and I am fasting already. Muslim Association of Canada, Calgary Chapter has announced Ramadan 1st on Friday.

We are a relatively small Muslim community here and rely on Muslim Association of Canada to decide for us. They don't have moon sighting committee here and they most part they follow Saudia.
