About 11.2 million or 78% of the population transfer took place in the west, with Punjab accounting for most of it
5.3 million Muslims moved from India to West Punjab in Pakistan,

potentially 3.8 million Hindus and Sikhs could have moved from West Pakistan to East Punjab in India but 500,000 had already migrated before the Radcliffe award was announced;

elsewhere in the west 1.2 million moved in each direction to and from Sind.


Three questions

1 Punjab absorbed 5.3 Million "Mohajirs" and we do not have any problems in Punjab in this regard

2.All the Hindus and Sikhs that went to India have been absorbed in India and have NEVER ever once asked for a Province of their own. The ones that stayed love being Pakistani Sikhs and say they feel fine about it. !!!!

3. Sindh, total 1.2 million in each direction, the Sindhi ones that went to Inda were absorbed into India and never once asked for their own province


On the other hand. Look at our "Mohajir" brethren in Sindh, 3rd and 4th Generation but "Mohajir" first and Pakistani second. Why ?


Are they going to say all was rosey for those who moved to Pak in Punjab and those who moved from Pak to Indian Punjab, and all was okay for the Bengalis who moved each way and it was okay for the Sindhis who moved to India but those who moved to Karachi and Sindh were denied all their basics ?


Or have they used their "ehtnicity" through Altaf and Co to serve another cause. Rather has Altaf and Co exploited this Community for his own designs. which have nothing to do with the welfare of Pakistan.

1. Migration from East Punjab to West Punjab and vice versa and Sindhi speaking Sindh to dominantly Sindhi speaking Bombay (Sindh was carved out of Bombay province) is different from migration of Urdu speaking of various accents from various Indian provinces who pre dominantly settled in Karachi.

Secondly, these Muslims never called themselves Mohajir until 1980s but preferred to call themselves Musalman and Pakistani first. Onus is on you to find out what forced them to call themselves Mohajir after 1980s if you are really interested.

Sindh was part of Bombay Province when ?


It (Sindh) as an entity is mentioned in the Ramayana and the Mahabaratha, so when did it form part of Bombay Province, please provide references

That is the whole point here, we do not need outsiders to make us fight,

it is an excuse, for our own weaknesses because regardless the actual fighting is being done by Pakistanis.

It was Liaqat Ali Khan who created all this mess. He brought panahgazeen's to karachi to have a permanent constituent seat of his own. Altaf Hussain merely added BHATHA and BORI BAND LASHEIN.
