Biography

Dr Zafar Mirza is the Director of Health System Development at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean. He is a medical doctor with post-graduation in Public Health in Developing Countries from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a clinical stint in mental health.


Before his current responsibility he was leading the Public Health, Innovation and Intellectual Property team at WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, for 6 years. He also served as a Regional Adviser for Essential Medicines and Pharmaceutical Policies in the WHO Regional Office for 5 years prior to moving to WHO headquarters. For 12 years before joining WHO, he was a founder Executive Director of a civil society organization – The Network for Consumer Protection in Pakistan.


He has a long standing experience of working at national, regional and global levels in public and private health sectors. He has extensively travelled, published and contributed to improving public health in many countries.

Dr Zafar Mirza is the Director of Health System Development at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean. He is a medical doctor with post-graduation in Public Health in Developing Countries from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a clinical stint in mental health.


Before his current responsibility he was leading the Public Health, Innovation and Intellectual Property team at WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, for 6 years. یہاں امریکا کینیڈا برطانیہ میں ہزاروں ایم پی ایچ والے دھکے کھاتے پھر رہے ہیں اور ایم بی بی ایس بھی کوئی کنگ ایڈورڈ میڈیکل کالج سے پاس نہیں کیا.
جہاں تک ورلڈ ہیلتھ آرگنائزیشن کی بات ہے تو پاکستان میں ورلڈ ہیلتھ آرگنائزیشن کی نوکری سفارش سے ملتی ہے جیسے اب اس کو سفارش سے پرائم منسٹر کا مشیر لگایا گیا ہے.
اور ورلڈ ہیلتھ آرگنائزیشن میں ڈیٹا جمع کرکے رپورٹ لکھنا الگ بات ہے اور ملک کی صحت پالیسی الگ. کیا ہے اس کا ایکسپوزر ملک کی ہیلتھ مینجمنٹ کا؟
دنیا کی سب سے زیادہ کرپٹ آرگنائزیشن اگر کوئی ہے تو وہ (UN) ہے . افریقہ کے نام پر ٹریلین ڈالرز ہڑپ کرکے بیٹھا ہے اور افریقہ کی وہی حالت ہے جو اب سے ٦٠ سال پہلے تھی . جیٹ جہاز خردے ہیں ایمپلائز ٹور پہ ٹور کرکے ہزاروں ڈالر (Daily Allowance) لیتے رہتے ہیں.

محب وطن پاکستانی اس ملک کی بنیادیں ہلانے والے مافیاز کو اسی طرح ننگا کر کے بے نقاب کرتے رہے تو اس ملک کو ترقی کرنے سے کوئی نہیں روک سکتا ۔لیکن ابھی بھی کچھ جاہل پاکستان کے بجاۓ اس حرامی النسل ٹولے کو سپورٹ کرتے ہیں جن کو اس بیغرت غدار میڈیا لفافی اور نام نہاد شعبدہ باز سیاہ ست دانوں نے گمراہ کر رکھا ھے ۔انشاءاللہ اب ان کی اوقات پاکستانیوں سے چھپ نہیں سکتی ۔میرا یقین کامل ھے فتح حق سچ کی ھو گی میرے پاک وطن کی ھو گی ۔
تمام عدالتوں کو بند کر کے قرنطینہ سینٹر بنا دینے چاہیے . موجودہ کرپٹ جیوڈیشری ملک کی بنیادیں کھوکھلی کررہی ہے.
لعنت ان ججوں پر جو آج تک کوئی ڈھنگ کا
فیصلہ نہیں کر سکے انکی اپنی کارکردگی کیا ہے صرف اس قوم کے ٹیکس سے بھائی مارت کے علاوہ

ان ججوں کو حکومت دے دینی چاہیئے۔ جو اپنا ایک ادارہ صحیح طرح سے سنبھال نہیں سکتے۔ اور اس ادارے کے نا سنبھلنے کی اصل وجہ بھی یہی لوگ ہیں کہ بجائے اپنے کام پر توجہ دینے کے دوسرے کے کاموں میں کیڑے نکالنا۔ سابقہ چوہدری چیف کے بعد آنے والے تمام چیفس اسی کی ڈگر پر چل رہے ہیں کہ دوسروں کے کیڑے نکالو اور تاریخ میں اپنا نام لکھوالو۔

قبل اسکے کہ اپنی مدت پوری ہوجائے کچھ نا کچھ ایسا کرگزرو کہ یاد رکھے جاؤ۔ اور اس کار گزاری کا جائز یا ناجائز ہونا مانع نہیں رکھتا

کیونکہ بدنام اگر ہوں گے تو کیا نام نا ہوگا؟ ​
