Yes, I was born in India and I am a US and Canadian citizen I love US Canada and India in the same order. I mentioned that I am burnt out of Jinnah posts I have exchanged my views on him quite extensively and share a few words with you.
A while back Mr. Q Mirza started a thread, he submitted a few documents with comments " Look how carefully Mr. Jinnah managed party funds". After I carefully examined the documents the turned out to be " expense logs " that Mr. Jinnah kept for reimbursements. They were detailed and some of them were petty, like two annas for coolie. Underneath the threads there were comments of praise to Jinnah and I pointed that they were not party funds. I am not sure weather he submitted them for reimbursement or not. I learned from Mr. Jinnah the art of keeping detailed records and I belive that I will gain much benefit from it and I am thankful to him.
I think there is a lot in Jinnah's life that Pakistanis can learn and bring it in their personal life and have practical benefits. There is no benefit in the myths that have been created he was a human been and he put on his pants one leg at a time like the rest of us. I think if I and Mr. Jinnah were neighbors we would get along fine.
This is also true that he considered himself a man of law and believed in democracy. He took the figurehead position of Governor General and undemocratically dismissed Bacha Khan elected government. He took the power of appointing ministers to the cabnet from Liaket Ali Khan that caused the rift among them. He blundered when he invaded Kashmir and locked in a never ending conflict with India. He set precedence for future military dictators to seize power.
