PESHAWAR: Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has accepted the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a challenge after getting majority vote in May 11 general elections.
\\\"We are well aware of the hurdles and difficulties to come in our way but we are also ready to face challenges,\\\" Speaker said in an interview with The Frontier Post.
He said after getting majority if PTI had not formed the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa it would had unethical and betrayal with the people of the province who voted PTI to come into power.
The speaker said the PTI government would make the province an example for the others to follow by bringing in good governance, progress in health and education sectors.
\\\"Our top priority is establishment of peace and tranquility in the province which is a pre requisite for the development,\\\" Assad said adding that they had already put things on a right track.
Replying to a query regarding the relationship between PTI and PML-N Asad Qaiser said his party would not take dictation from PML-N.
\\\"The nation has conferred mandate to them and to PTI as well. So we don\\\'t want to indulge in any kind of unnecessary adventure,\\\" he said and explained PTI has its own agenda and in the next general polls PTI will rise as a sole majority party in the center.
While mentioning major steps taken by PTI in KP, he said They have declared emergency for education and have increased 30% of education budget which is a record, free emergency treatment in hospitals have launched and all the hospitals in the province are providing free emergency treatment to the masses.
Besides, \\\'we have a program to construct a mega city which would have all basic facilities of life like education city, industrial zone, business points, hotels, parks, stadiums and many more\\\' Qaiser claimed the mega city would be a unique model for the whole of the country.
Replying to another query he strongly rejected the news of rift within the ranks of PTI and said they all were working in close collaboration and with the fullest of their devotion.
\\\"I personally consult with the Chief Minister on every matter and once the intra party polls were over, we have nothing to fight for\\\" Speaker added that their government was strong enough to resist all efforts of despoiling PTI government.
He explained none can bring vote of no confidence against PTI and every man is free to bring it according to the constitution. He while talking about the constitutional status of Fata, said a new social contract with the people of Fata was the need of the hour.
\\\"I personally feel that we have to think over it to give a new shape to the Fata with the consent of the real stack holders- the common people of Fata and if any constitutional change is needed for it, PTI will fully support it\\\" the speaker declared.
Talking about the withdrawal of army from Swat, he said if the civil administration is strong enough to control the situation, there is no need for regular army.
\\\"We have to admit that army is the only institution which is fully organized and trustworthy, so we have to keep it above politics and all kind controversies\\\" he maintained.
He also claimed to have completed homework for the local government polls but hesitated to give any fix date for the polls. \\\"Let\\\'s complete the homework and you will see how we set an example for the rest of the country\\\" Asad concluded adding that people will feel the change they have promised within the next six months.
