News everywhere is swamped with the latest on ISIS reportedly threatening to behead two Japanese hostages unless the nation pays a $200 million ransom.
But wait. Whats up with this image the mainstream media is sporting everywhere?



Notice anything there in regards to the direction of the sunlight and the supposedly resultant shadow on the hostages faces?

This one is particularly interesting .
Maybe thats because it comes from the video which looks even cheaper.

Heres a breakdown from a thread running on Godlike Productions:

Anyone who makes video editing can tell its fake and it was filmed in a studio. The desert background is fake as ****, added onto an alpha layer behind the actors.

Although MSM news are showing a hi-res version with a ton of feathering and smoothing around the actors, we can clearly see the heavily jagged edges around their bodies in low-res versions, specially around Jihad John because hes dressed full black, what suggests that there were physical objects behind them in the studio, and they were removed to create an alpha background for the desert pic.

I didnt clean up the noise so that you can see the jagged edges.

Showing the familiar sight of fearful men kneeling in orange jumpsuits in the desert, the latest footage of Jihadi John caused despair across the world when it appeared this week.

In the latest clip, the Islamic State enforcer demanded a $200million ransom to free Japanese men Haruna Yukawa and Kenji Goto, giving them just 72 hours to live.
But as the deadline approached the Japanese public responded with a show of defiance by creating dozens of darkly comic internet memes mocking the deranged ISIS killer.
In the pictures, which have been widely shared online, the masked murderer is seen using his knife to carve kebab meat, taking part in a cooking show, and holding a selfie stick.
The vast majority of the posts are written in Japanese, but one in English reads: 'Tomorrow will be sad but it will pass and ISIS will still be a big joke. You can't break our spirit.'

Among the many signs that the Islamic State group mass-beheading video of Coptic Christians may have been manipulated is what filmmaker Mary Lambert, an NYU professor, calls the shot "with the really tall Jihadists and the dwarf Christians. Reuters


The Islamic State group video of the beheading of 21 Coptic Christians by a Libyan beach that was released Feb. 15 sickened and outraged the world. It even prompted Egyptian airstrikes in retaliation near the eastern port city of Tripoli, where it looked like the video had been shot. But some experts -- including Veryan Khan, executive director of the Terrorism Research and Analysis Consortium in Florida, and Mary Lambert, a horror filmmaker who directed Pet Sematery -- told FoxNews.com that much of the video appears to have been manipulated.
According to the visual-effects experts, the telltale signs that all is not as it seems in the video attributed to the militant group formerly known as either ISIL or ISIS include killers who appear to be 7 feet tall, at least 2 feet taller than their victims, and a sea turning red, which they say would take more than the blood of 21 men.
The Islamic States manipulation of their high-production videos has become commonplace, Khan told Fox, adding that the militant groups revolutionary use of green-screen techniques was likely done to limit exposure to drones [and] satellite [locating of] their operations. Khan reasoned it was during the post-production process that the videos editors added the executions to previously captured outdoor scenes.
I think that in the opening shot all the figures might be animated, said Lambert, a professor at New York University in the film department. They never had more than six men on the beach. Lambert said the additional figures were likely added through rotoscoping, a special-effects technique that entails removing a figure from one scene and inserting it into another with a different background.
Khan also noted the beheading of the final victim also looked manipulated. Not only did it lack the correct blood pulsation for decapitation, Khan said, but [it] seems to have had the blood faked with cornstarch. Theres a possibility, Khan told Fox, that the beheadings were not done at the same time, the evidence being that the blood did not darken due to oxygenation.
It is unlikely any of the Egyptian fisherman who had gone to Libya to make extra money for their families is still alive, the experts said, but the mass execution in the manner shown in the sensational Islamic State group video is likely fake.
Lambert especially focused on the size discrepancy between the ISIS figures and their captives, saying, The shot that seems really tampered with is the one with the really tall Jihadists and the dwarf Christians.
