...but what amazes me is that PMLN are oblivious to the game being played with them.

Pakistan Peoples Party was only giving its advice to the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while the decisions, financial or otherwise, were the prerogative of the government, PPP Information Secretary Faisal Kareem Kundi said on Sunday.

Talking to The Express Tribune, Kundi said if the PPP – which is the second largest party in the coalition after the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) – came to power at the Centre, only then it would take decisions of its choosing.

“The PPP is limited to an advisory role only. The party gives advice when and where it is needed,” Kundi said. “The decisions are the prerogative of the prime minister and his party,” Kundi said, when asked why the PPP was not able to turn around in the economy.
Recently former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Zardari had said that if he came to power in 2023, he would turn Pakistan around “110%”.

He warned that if the current government failed to provide relief in load shedding, rising inflation and price hike hikes, while the dollar continued to rise, the people would see this government’s performance through the same lens they saw the previous government.

“The government needs to consider opening new avenues to provide relief to the masses. He suggested oil purchases from Russia and Iran. The IMF, he added, needed to be engaged for loan, but Pakistan must look for cheap markets for fuel.

“Iran oil is available all the way to Dera Ismail Khan. This does not come in jerry cans, it gets smuggled in large containers, which pass through several checkpoints before entering Pakistan,” he said. “Why not bring it in legally,” he added.

Asked if the PPP was satisfied with the handling of economy by the current regime, he said it was too early to say. He added that the government needed a few months’ time to perform before any opinion could be reached.

I don't think they are oblivious to all this. They have their own goals; saving their political dynasty and precious billions. They're fast erasing all the evidence of their corruption, have made NAB virtually toothless, gotten rid of EVMs, snatched the right of vote from overseas Pakistanis, are covering all the bases to manipulate the next election and God knows what else. What you are pointing to is a relatively small price to pay for the time being.

In the next election campaign Zardari dakoo will blame Goon League for inflation, fall of the rupee and the economic mess.He would pretend that Peepee had no role in making any policies. He will not be able to extricate himself.People know this dakoo is equally responsible for ruining the economy.

As you hear Dastagir recently, they could clearly see they were all headed to jail for a very long time, they had no choice, abhi PPP ke ghadday ko bhi baap banaya huwa hai. It was either this or be behind bars with all stolen wealth taken away.

So like a drowning man who will try to hold on to every stick of straw to save himself from going under they had to do this.

Zardaku was in a win win situation in all scenarios. If the govt didn't fall he was still ruling Sindh and if it fell he would be as he is still rules sindh. Only now he gets to humiliate and destroy pmlun, blackmail them, get his wishes, all the while being in the shadows and keeping quiet while Pmlun takes all the flak, so he can go into the nest election without any of pmlun disasters on his shoulders.

Mean while pmlun ne 100 juttiyan v khadiyaan naal 100 ganday v ( 100 jootiya 100 piaz )
