man i will ask u again watch that video,, in Oklahoma a flood came once and they start to build two dams every weeks and they build many thousand small dams and u r telling us ,we r building one dam and it will finish in next 10 years .. so plz watch and understand what is flood control

Rubbish videos which have nothing to do with Sindh's topography and Indus' geographical location. Darawat dam is completed and Nai Gaj dam will be completed next year. Other small dams in Sindh at strategic locations are in process.

Qalandari what was the budget of Darawat Dam ?

As a side note, I feel that no one on this forum even bother to read what Qalandari shares. They just start ridiculing him. Bhai pehle parh to lia kero.

I checked for myself. Darawat Dam was started in the previous PPP government, the initial project duration was 30 months but they completed it within 15 months. So in a way its like the Metro Project that Shahbaz Sharif did in Lahore - but not that glamorous. The project does not have electricity generation capacity and is constructed primarily to capture rain/flood water in order to prevent destruction from flooding and subsequently use this water for irrigation.

25,000 acre land will be made irrigatable due to the dam if and once it is filled. And there is a very good chance that the dam would be filled to capacity in a few days. It would then continue to provide water to 25,000 acres for 4 years.

@Okara Bull. Brother the dam projects that you shared. Qalandari's response was that PPP has done exactly the same by constructing a few dams in sind. Aik dafa Darawat Dam and Nai Gaj ko dekh to lein ..
