PPP moves SJC against Khawaja Sharif

PPP has filed reference in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) against CJ LHC Khawaja Sharif on issuing political statements. The reference has been filed by PPP Punjab secretary finance Aurangzaib Barki. Justice Khawaja Sharifs political statements are made basis in the reference.
Addressing a ceremony in Hafiz Abad after inaugurating new chamber of lawyers, CJ Lahore High Court Khawaja Sharif had said that PPP should be separated from coalition in Punjab if it has any differences with Shahbaz Sharif. Khawaja had said that he has good relations with Sharif brothers from last 40 years; however, he never put this relation over justice.
Justice (r) Tariq Mehmood while talking to Dunya News said that the Supreme Judicial Council can take action against anything which violates code of conduct. He said that politics is going on in the Bar rooms. Bars have soft corner for political parties but this relations ends once anyone becomes judge.
Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan while talking to Dunya News said that PPP has taken a step in the right direction using constitutional right. Khawaja Sharifs statements were wrong. He cant ask PPP top quit the government. Now, Supreme Judicial Council will decide about his fate. He said that judges should speak through their decisions. Aitzaz said that the CJP never issued such statements but Khawaja Sharif has made the role of judiciary as controvercial.
PPP secretary information Fauzia Wahab while talking to Dunya News said that as Khawaja Sharif has issuing such statements, it is fourth reference against him and it is on personal basis. The reference has nothing to do with the party and the party did not asked anybody to file such reference. Sharifs statement was irrational and no judges have ever issued such statements. After issuing such statements, Khawaja Sharif should leave his post, Fauzia added.

Very good, but same thing holds true for the president of Pakistan that he can not hold political post. Every norm is for judges but political elite is exempt, thats ridicules.

In ppp there is general perception that judges are after ppp govt. i think ppp is doing the right thing. judiciary was trying to corner ppp. in the past it use to be military establishment who use to to conspiracy against ppp govt. but this time it is judiciary who is after govt.

What about the derogatory public statements by Zulifqzr Mirza and Raja Riaz who openly quoted that Pakistan will be cut into pieces if someone tries to destabilize their government or dare to remove US stooge (Zardari).

That is the Right Thing to Do.A judge has no business to make political statements and act as a spokesman for one political party.The Chief Justice Lahore High Court has clearly violated the "Code of Ethics" for judges

My brother you are talking about ethics when most corrupt person is sitting in the presidency? What ethics? Can Zardari challenge anybody's ethics? Judges are human as well. You can keep defaming them in media consistently, over and over again on daily basis, in their absence and they can not do anything about it?how can that be justified. And who is gonna throw the first stone?
Nobody said anything when Zardari commented on Mohammed Ali Jinah but Khawaja shareef's crime is unforgivable? If Zardari can hold two offices, why can a judge not comment on politics?

You can only talk for Zardari and not for PPP. Zardari has hijacked the party and sidelined all the old party members. All Zardari pitthoos are running the govt. who are mostly corrupt and they are ridiculing the courts and the judges to save their skins. But this time they cannot run like Musharraf did. Next stop for Zardari is Adiala jail.
