Tanvir Ashraf Kaira and Ghulam Fraid Kathia say Ashraf Sohina will meet the fate of political redundancy
Secretary General PPP, Punjab, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira and Ghulam Fraid Kathia, divisional coordinator Shaiwal Division, in a joint statement issued from here today said that Ashraf Khan Sohina will embrace political redundancy like the earlier similar characters by leaving the PPP adding his decision will not affect the Party.
They said that his endeavors would not enhance his political stature in the eyes of the people because the President PPP Punjab, Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo had no problems with him.They argued that Khurram Jehangir Wattoo, MPA, was appointed as Secretary General PYO by the Central leadership before his appointment as the President of PPP Punjab.
Similarly, they maintained that Jehan Ara Wattoo, daughter of PPP President Punjab, was appointed President of Lady Wing district Okara prior to his father’s appointment as President of Punjab PPP. Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has given no Party position to his family members after his assuming the office of the President PPP Punjab, they asserted.
Tanvir Ashraf Kaira and Ghulam Fraid Kathia stated that Ashraf Khan Sohina had been trying time and again recently to reach out to Rana Basit Khan, tehsile president Okara,Rana Abdul Rehman,tehsile president Renala Khurd,Shezad Zulfiqar Nool,tehsile president Deepalpur,and Alam Sher Khan Lodhi,city president Okara and others but in vain. They stand committed to Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and Bilawal Bhutto adding no amount of pressure will succeed in misguiding them against the Party and its leadership, they added.
They pointed out that Ashraf Sohina was interested in doing politics of PTI along with Rao Skindar’s wife who was persuaded earlier by him to join PPP. She contested the election on PPP ticked and defeated. She joined PTI in which Mr. Sohina played his role, they added.
Ghulam Fraid Kathia added that Ashraf Sohina contested MPA election on PPP ticked and was made labor Minister in Punjab government. He was also appointed on his wish by the President PPP, Punjab, as President of PPP labor Wing. Such elements are fueled by their self-serving interests and Party discipline and its ideology are secondary for the men of straw, they commented.
