The information below is hearsay but the dots connect the gaps need to be filled nevertheless.
Humayun brothers made money by using the money their deceased dad siphoned off in thousands from the monthly or every few days $1 million given by US during the Afghan war in 80s. He used to skim a few thousands and tell them money is short-this is how the story went those days. Allegedly Zia came to know but chose to ignore just as did the US officials. After the accidental demise of their father in a famous plane crash The brothers grim bought Coca Cola factory in Lahore for Rs 8 carore in cash. From then on wards they became successful businessmen, and hit the limelight of Pakistani social scene. One of them is married to Gen. Akber's daughter who ran away with WAPDA money and resides in London.
Paying in cash was common knowledge in Lahore in those days. How these brothers got so much in cash was said to be from their earnings while they were in US, of course details never disclosed.
