Police baton charged participants of a pro-judiciary rally by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in Karachi, Express Newsreported on Monday.

The security officials also used water cannons to disperse the rally near Zainab Market, injuring many.

Senior PTI leader Arif Alvi tweeted saying he had been arrested

More than a dozen PTI protestors have been arrested.

The injured, including a child, have been shifted to a nearby hospital.

Party chief Imran Khan had announced launching a campaign in support of the judiciary on June 16, with all regional PTI offices organising rallies in major cities and districts.
