PMLN logic: Elections no longer "a barometer of popularity"

...so what is then?

How many ras gullas you can eat in 2 mins?
How many fake accounts you have?
How much you crash the stock market?
How many lotas you can gather?

Elections are literally the way to gauge popularity!
I mean I've heard some pretty dumb "gullu butt" type logic from PMLN, but this takes the gold medal. ???

"The coalition government has decided to complete its term, party leaders declared on Tuesday, as they insisted the results of the by-elections in Punjab “are not at all a barometer of popularity for any party”."

Pretty sad to see that much commotion just to bring a known thief back in to CM position.
I like this logic that Duska was not repeated. Winning few provincial constituencies in by election by an opposition is a caused of concern for sure for those who managed to get the presiding officers disappear in a smog , just to bring them back with bags full of fake votes ...
Logic ? No, it is fairness of process which needs to be celebrated.

Is it fair that my friends vote was changed to another constituency while other family members vote, who live at the same address, were not?

Where is the logic in that?

Also, by same logic, isn’t current CM a known theif currently on bail (with dad also being on bail and brother being an absconder and cousin and uncle being convicted criminals)?

Isn’t it also sad to see so much effort to keep him in place?

You may be right under the context of if you are forcing your way in to the corridor of power for replacing one thief to another . Is this what the politics is all about ? politics of change ? My dog is Tommy and you is still dog.

That is exactly what power politics is, but can’t blame just one side if all are doing it, that’s all I’m saying

Also, people have voted, knowing who the next CM could be, and as they say…”vote ko izzat do” ?

Well, you can't continue to swirl. If you stand on the side you think is good to bring change and you support the change, then , you can't fall back to the weakness of the opposition side or highlight their failure to support your own failure.

The concept of the izzat for vote is a solid one . It doesn't really matter who carry that slogan . As long as the concept is accepted generally among illiterate people. I am not going to ping pong and try to take the politics advantage of the slogan . I honestly think the NS knew what kind of crap goes on there and he decided to speak out. Unfortunately , the infants of Pakistani politics made fun of his efforts . He deserved to complete his term like any other PM. But as I said, my dog is Tommy and other's still dog.

And how my concept of replacing one thief to another is over the board ? If IK today decide to appoint anyone other than Pervaiz Ellahi, you think that would bring a political storm in the land ? I don't think so. IK is also apart and parcel of this society. His thinking could not be more of reform and updated with moderation ., specially when one accept the advise of spouse on almost all matters.

PMLN did complete their term. It’s just nawaz was disqualified - blame the courts

I guess I’m not as idealistic as I used to be when I was younger?

It’s a pure power politics fight, and all’s fair in love and war….let’s see who wins…
