Chohan is right about the past, but he is wrong about the future.

You can have a plan from day 1 only if there was transparency about the nation's finances. So long as PMLN was there, the financial picture presented was always fake and fudged. After coming to power, PTI found out what was really going on, and now will invariably have to take additional time to figure out how to execute its agenda.

To an extent you are right but independent economists, especially from NUST University provided in depth analysis years before the election. Everyone of their prediction and numbers proven true even today.
So even if Asad didn't have all these numbers, he could rely on that reasearch and prepare him for worst case senarios.
After all Asad Umar was only Minister who was announced way before elections. Even after winning elections, he had 22 days to do homework and another 30 days gone today.
