PML-N wont issue tickets to fake degree holders: Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has said his party would not issue an election ticket to any fake degree holder in the future, a private television channel reported on Wednesday.

In a statement issued from his Raiwind camp office, the PML-N chief advised the lawmakers elected on fake degrees to resign voluntarily in order to avoid any embarrassment.

Nawaz said that no compromise would be made on the issue as no one would be allowed to make fun of democracy and politics, adding that sacrifices would have to be made for the propagation of democratic norms in the country.

“It has always been my principled stance that the people elected on fake degrees have no right to represent the masses,” the channel quoted him as saying.

He said that we did not give tickets to fake degree holders for the National Assembly seat in Burewala and the Punjab Assembly seat in Lahore despite the fact that they had big public support in their respective constituencies. daily times monitor/staff report

Nawaz asks MPs holding fake degrees to resign

LAHORE: PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif said that his party would not award a ticket to any candidate holding fake degree. He asked elected representatives, holding fake degrees, to resign to avoid embarrassment.



In a statement here Wednesday, he said that the candidates, who won election through cheating voters, had no right to represent the masses. He said that he had issued clear instructions to the PML-N parliamentary board in this regard.
Nawaz said the PML-N had not given party tickets to holders of fake degrees in Lahore and Burewala and preferred non-participation in the election to compromising on the principled stance. He said the PML-N would not allow anyone to derail the democratic system and the party was prepared to make every sacrifice for the sake of democracy.

Aijaz another so called educated guy comments here....read the orginal post and that is why I posted the actual percentage to shut those with false c--p in their head. See the percentage or the literacy rate at present. Where as Kalabagh Dam is concened Punjab has already said they don't want a single drop of water, you sindhis, Muhajirs and Pushtoons can have it. But atleast it will help the shortfall we have in power sector. But your brains are so full of C--p with Muhajir junk, that you people cannot think without ethnicity.
