PM to host farewell luncheon for Zardari on Sep 05
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will host a farewell luncheon for President Asif Ali Zardari on September 05 before the end of his five-year term on Sept 8.
According to media reports, President of Pakistan People’s Party Makhdoom Amin Fahim, leader of Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah, Opposition leader in Senate Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, other party leaders and many federal ministers have also been invited in the luncheon.
It is pertinent to mention that Zardari is the first elected president of the country who is completing his five-year term. He also has the distinction of addressing joint sittings of parliament for six times.
It is a good omen that peaceful transition of power has been completed first time in the history of the country and one President is engaged in farewell parties while new one has been elected.
