PM Imran's helicopter trips cost 'much more' than being claimed: report

I'm tired of repeating myself I already know this when I posted THREE days ago, And also aware PM travels in a Agustawestland AW139 Registration number SIX - 05 and I have posted calculations at least 4 to 5 times in various threads so I am not going to keep repeating myself to anyone who happens to have missed a previous discussion.

My posting of the videos were only to demonstrate and to clarify the myth that travel by helicopter or small plane costs 100s of 1000s

Why ?

Just like in a car....in a short trip round the block, you will drive in a lower gear, and per mile expense will be higher....but if you drive to another city, cruising at 75mph, the per mile expense will average out to much less.
Helicopter costs are usually quoted on an hourly basis....something like $600/ hour in fuel and crew/maintenance. So if its flown for an hour, it may cost $600. But we cant simply divide it by 60 and say that it costs $10 per minute. Pre-flight checks alone take up a fair amount of time and fuel.

All of this is true for bigger fixed wing aircraft, that are more economical at cruise altitude and speed, flight checks are done with the APU burning fuel.

Yes but do you know what distance can it cover in an hour? You need to find that out. But I will tell you it’s fee kilometre expense. Augusta Westland 139 which carry around 15 passengers, fuel consumption is around 120 rupees per kilometre, banigala from PM house is around 11 kilometre back and fourth so will cost around 1320. But the PM office also owns a Eurocopter EC135 which costs around 60 rupees per kilometre. EC 135 is the one he more likely uses. This is the helicopter used for throwing rose petals on NS on the motorway.
