PM Imran Khan to hold key visit to Saudi Arabia in coming week

The premier has been scheduled to meet Saudi leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest.ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan is all set to vist Saudi Arabia in coming week.Sources told that the premier will hold important meetings with Saudi leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest while he will also perform Umrah.

It will be Imran Khan’s first foreign visit as PM.Earlier, Saudi King Shah Salman had telephoned Prime Minister Imran Khan and invited him for a state visit.Shah Salman said that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to its relation with Pakistan.

“People of Pakistan poses great trust on your leadership,” he said and added Saudi Arabia wishes for close ties with the new government.

Khan further reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the security and protection of the Holy Mosques and also the territorial integrity of the kingdom.

Saudi ambassador and ministers have met with IK a few times since IK's election win.
Its clear Saudis want to keep us as good friends, which is a good thing.
I also have a feeling IK's visit to KSA is to get the facility of deferred oil payment to control our current account deficit and possibly other financial matters. In return, Saudi will want to convince IK on their security needs and foreign agenda.

Unfortunately, none of the media channels will bother to do research and explain awam the pak-saudi relations and the benefits both countries can provide to each other. MEdia shows will only do cheap talk..tel lay loo, iran shia sunni amreeka blah blah blah.

Irani also tried a lot. Irani Foreign Minister visited and their officials met with IK.

There is no chance of creating any friendship between saudi and iran but it will be a test for pakistan to become good friends with both countries.
Ofcourse, saudi provide lots of financial support that iran cant but iran is our neighbour.

I hope IK will make the right decision.

I expected this..KSA..Iran..Turkey.. China and after some time to Russia..these are priority country visits...I don't see USA visit near future by IK...but UK can be..IK will not visit any country which have not been useful in next two years..
