Pakistan's humiliating defeat in the 2nd ODI yesterday by England's B team was because of tactless and reckless batting by Fakhar, Maqsood, Shahdab, and Hassan Ali and technically faulty by Babar, Rizwan, and Faheem. It became a shameful nightmare to watch our defeat.
The match could have been won if Hassan and Maqsood had used their brains more efficiently and effectively and batted with little more patience than unnecessary aggression. Hassan Ali got out of control like a wild horse after hitting three sixes and the disaster finally struck on any hope of Pakistan winning the match.
Now that Pakistan has lost the series it would be advisable for the selectors to give chance to the newcomers sitting on the benches to prove their potentials in the next match. Imam, Fakhar, Shahdab, Maqsood, and Faheem must be relegated by the selection board and replaced by better batsmen and bowlers who can show resilience and patience under pressure and perform well.
Finally, I would advise our selectors to replace incumbent bowling and batting coaches and employ foreign experts who would improve our batsmen's techniques and skills and teach our bowlers how to control their line and length.
