PM. Army chief arrive at Miran Shah

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived at Miran Shah on Monday.

The prime minister and army chief are being briefed on the security situation, ongoing stability operations, socio-economic projects and rehabilitation of TDPs, according to the military’s media wing Inter Services Public Relations.

PM will later visit Ghulam Khan Terminal/ border fencing and address jirga of local elders at Miran Shah ISPR added.

Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak, KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan and other civil and military leaders are accompanying the premier and army chief.
PM Imran is on his maiden visit of the newly-merged tribal districts. Seven districts of the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) were merged with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa earlier this year.
