Govt should privatised PIA regarless some parties will do politics on this matter. Opposition parties are to be blamed too when they give shoulders to these mafias running PIA. PIA has only about 30 planes in total about 30 thousands employee costing govt about 200 billions loss every year. All banks were in same situation but after privatisation they are paying billions in taxes and provinding hundred of thousands of jobs on merit. Either privatised it or stop it completely. In both cases it is a win win situation.

don't know how bad state are the PIA ATRs, however ATR is being used quite extensively by number of developed countries, usually ATR is considered as a very safe and cost effective.

In those days government was owning everything including banks, mills and railway. Pakistan was progressing really well but after nationalisation all big industrials left pakistan. Majority of govts around the world are out of running businesses and we should follow the suit. UK has complete provatised industry including rail and airlines and power supply sector and it doesnreally well. Poliiciabs will keep destroying PIA if they are running PIA because their promary objectives is to adjust their voters somewhere. PIA can be great again after privatisation just like MCB and Habib banks which were making hige losses but now making hige profits and paying billions in taxes.
