PIA A300 for German Museum & Reality

[FONT=&amp]Recently Pakistani media has been telling quite fascinating stories about Germany buying a PIA Airbus A300 (Reg. AP-BEQ) for their aviation history museum to keep as an artifact about PIA's history of operations in Europe.

[FONT=&amp]Well, the fact of the matter is quite different. This particular model of Airbus A300 is going to be used for preservation as Air France Airbus A300B4 (Reg. F-BVGG).

[FONT=&amp]There is a history behind Air France Airbus A300B4 (Reg. F-BVGG). The particular plane will be associated with a famous hijacking of 1971 followed by Israeli hostage-rescue commando operation called 'Operation Entebbe' in Uganda. This PIA plane has already been transformed into Air France 1970s livery.

[FONT=&amp]So anyone having fantasy of visiting German museum to see a preserved PIA plane should now change their minds and go through a piece of 1970s history before proceeding.

[FONT=&amp]*** On the other hand there are news about Nawaz Govt selling the plane at a dirt cheap price of just $60k (in a very shady deal -or usual 'crooks' fashion.) compared to a real value of a few Million Dollars.

[FONT=&amp]we should demand an inquiry and capital punishment for those involved in forcing the grounded aircraft to fly carrying passengers....[/FONT]
[FONT=&amp]if it is not done accidents like this will keep on happening and the airlines will not follow the international standard maintenance protocols[/FONT]

Such incidents are expected when the money meant for the maintenance for these aircrafts are funneling to the corruption of looters.
