The amount of red tape in our country is just atrocious. I guess that is one reason why people dont mind military rule.

Halal or Haram; I think the People of Pakistan deserve Rapid Transport. Not just buses but also Metro Rail. After 70 years of Pakistan, we Pakistanis don't care about Halal or Haram; Just get it done. We will sort out the Halal Haram in the after life.

Yes, the bureaucracy wasted millions for three time feasibility studies, many designs and re-designs. But after every study the cost increases manifold.

Initial plane was not BRT but a simple lane along with Railway Track but I don't know whether Nooras gona sell that land or what that they didn't allow it. So KP govt brought completly new idea of BRT which is not a single lane metro but along with 26 Km main artery there would be more than 6 smaller routs as well with about 84 km roads, over 100 bus stops and over 350 buses.

Lahore, Pindi and Multan Metros didn't change the face of the cities but BRT will completly change the face of Peshawar because it very extensive and it would carry more than 4.5 Lakh people on daily bases where Lahore Metro carries about 1 to 1.5 Lakh people daily.

BRT Peshawar would cover around 40-45 % (this is my guess) or even more part of Peshawar. So don't take it like the existing Metros in the country.

That is the most amusing maths I have seen. Is this the same computation that was lost in the LDA fire?

And any kind words for the annual payout to the turkish contractor?
