The entertainment channels (especially HUM TV) has started since long, a campaign to influence the values we live in. Of course there are many things that needs improvement in our culture but we have to be aware of this kind of soft diplomacy too. Starting from its logo and now making lesbian a new norm

This is how brainwashing is done, maybe wont work with the adults but the children of today will definitely be brainwashed by such tactics. These people are the soft taliban of today.

So dont be surprised if your son brings in a gay partner or your daughter brings in her lesbian partner home, tomorrow.

Of course I know there exists LGBT in Pakistan, and I think its their own choice and decision to do what ever they want. But I am more talking about people (especially) teenagers who will want to try these things just for the fun of it and not realizing the consequences in our society.

My point is not limited to LGBT it covers all aspects of our culture that are being targeted by HUM TV.

These dramas create awareness in the society. They give such parts of our society some semblance of normalcy. You saw recently what happened to this one transgender who said that even Dogs have more rights in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan than we Transgenders have. That is deplorable. Do you know why that is the case? Its because they are considered filth and swept under the rug. This makes them filth. And then filth is always treated as filth. These shows like Udaari and now this one create or attempt to create awareness that these people are people too. They are Insaan. But I know in Pakistan where we don't even consider our political oppositions as Insaan these poor people are fighting a losing battle.

I wish more and more writers wrote about these people and get them involved. Show Pakistanis that these are human beings. And this recognition will inturn make the rest of the society better human beings. Everyone goes home happy.

And there is a method to show that these people are part of our society and not a filth. I dont know, I dont watch dramas so I cant give a good example but one example I do remember is Angan Terha. Just see how they have depicted a transgender to be a human being. That is the way you make awareness in the peoples mind. But HUM TV has some other plans.

The deplorable treatment of Gays, Lesbians and Transgenders in Pakistan are Justification for the promotion of such content. The social and religious norms have done nothing to protect this part of the community.

let me also add to your comment that these things have existed in human history since humans have been on this earth and even a lot of species in the animal kingdom exhibit homosexuality
