The biggest strength in todays world is economic strength. We would have been more economically strong had we not tested. The nuclear bomb is a curse against humanity and we should collectively raise a voice for the non-proliferation and even complete elimination of this curse.

Islamabad: Youm-e-Takbeer is being observed across the country on Monday to commemorate the atomic explosions carried out on May 28, 1998 in the tenure of then Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Pakistan on that day joined the prestigious club of seven-nuclear powers by conducting nuclear tests to give a befitting response to Indias initiative of testing nukes a few days before on May 11 and 13 the same year.Politicians, lawyers and civil society activists will take out rallies, processions and hold seminars to highlight importance of the day.Rich tribute will be paid to the team of nuclear scientists who raised Pakistans strategic status in the comity of nations and signified the principle of self-reliance.

or we would have ended up like Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Btw we still can due to difference in power.

Lets look around us. there are many countries across the globe who are far stronger than us today despite not having nuclear weapons. Because they are economically strong. And when they are economically strong noone can bully them. They dont need nuclear weapons as a deterrent. Our country has gone downhill since the explosions. How has it strengthened us? Some believe the whole strategy of US is to get control over Pakistan's nuclear assets, then wouldnt have it been better had we not had these weapons. It would have saved us a lot of strife and misery and we could have focused on internal development.
