Pakistani Citizen beheaded in Saudi Arabia convicted of drug trafficking

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia on Thursday beheaded a Pakistani man convicted of drug trafficking, making it the second execution in as many days, the interior ministry said.



Zohur Hussein Mohammed Sadeq had been found guilty of smuggling heroin into Saudi Arabia, the ministry said in a statement carried by the official SPA news agency.

The previous day the ministry reported that a Saudi had been executed after he was found guilty of murdering a compatriot.

The latest beheading brings to 31 the total number of executions in the ultra-conservative kingdom so far this year, according to an AFP tally based on official reports.


Under the AFP count, at least 76 people were beheaded in 2011, while rights group Amnesty International put the number of executions last year at 79.
The death penalty in Saudi Arabia applies to a wide range of offences including rape, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking, as well as murder, as stipulated by Sharia law.

The crime rate, those who can get away with it do so much of it that we can't imagine and those who are poor, pay for everything.

Better check the censorship strictness in KSA than crime rates which don't let a whiff of air come out on media without government's will.

Pakistan should behead all Arabs living in Pakistan. Why our people lives has no value in all over the world? Justice should be for everyone not just to implement on poor Pakistanis or Bangladeshi.

I have no sympathy with drug smuggler but law should implement for everyone not just for Pakistanis. We should also hang these Saudis with poll in Raja Bazar Pindi.
