This elder is not deobandi and neither does he belong to a firqa!. He is talking about Hazrat Imam Mehdi RA coming from the Naqshbandi spiritual chain NOT deobandi !

And the Naqshbandi chain started from Hazrat Abu Bakr Ra who as we all know followed our AKKA pbuh and included several saints like Hazrat Abu Hanifa Ra and will Inshallah continue till Imam Mehdi As. It will an honour for any great Islamic personality to come from this spiritual chain of Ihsan.
