interestingly enough , even though the employees to plane ratio in PIA is highest among airlines, if you compare the salaries + expenditure on employees to the airline loss its minor, or if the total employee expenditure is compared to the revenue, its similar to other airlines, so employee expenditure is not a problem.

The problem is the employees efficiency and corruption in the management. PIA flight tickets are harder to get compared to other airlines, its management which causes the loss. There have been a lot of reports of flights being shown as full, to prospective passengers, and the actual flight being half empty!

Man its time to swallow your pride and shutdown PIA and then start a new airline from scratch like Pakistan Air or something.

Trying to revive this dead donkey is going to be very slow, extremely painful and expensive. And still no guarantee it will be revived.

You do have a point there, still however the cause of what you are saying and what my contentions are is almost same, i.e., these unions, associations and all other pressure groups within the corporation.

your recommended treatments are the same as building a dam from the donation. There is a serious business crisis for PIA and many facilities are provided worldwide by all good airlines. Style of the management needs to change like focusing on the ancillary businesses and developing new business routes rather demotivating staff.
