A news item is circulating which implies that Pakistani new army leadership has decided to side with killer Assad in syria and we are sending troops to fight with IS .
If true nothing could be more inflammatory for sunnis of Pakistan, as here is a city of Allepo , a sunni historic city made into rubble with efforts of Putin and khameenei and even UN says massacres have occurred commited by Assad regime and here we are to side with same killer force of Putin and khamanei.
Pakistan army should deny this rumour in social media.
Already a news item is circulating in newspapers that our new army chief likes books like me, but despite being taller than Raheel sharif and even more broad shouldered , he has not been able fit into macho and masculine, war like hero image of Raheel Sharif.
And with doubts created by Sajid Mir , who is very well regarded and considered an authentic figure in some sunni political circles , the new chief has been unable to make make debut so far , he needs really good ISPR chief. Pakistanis are themselves composed of several martial races and for army sources to state in future that such and such person is so soft in conduct , does not get much appreciation . After all army is about toughness, these guys are not librarians or chief protocol officer of hotels . If they are soft with enemies and too much into peace missions , they can be utterly useless at times. In Pakistani army if they see even a senior officer having non war like tendencies , they label them "Baji"..General.
The string of army chiefs with US training creates further queries .
Khawaja Asif Tweet has drawn attention not to Israel threat or his reply but to how can we a sunni power start killing fellow sunnis in Syria when that country is paying price of getting out of minority sect Alawite claws for the last half century and have already paid price of one million martyred.
We did participate in 1973 war from side of Syrian airforce under current assad's father but then things were different , there was no Mulla raj in Iran and strong Arab alliance and wider shia sunni understanding under auspices of OIC existed . This is no more the case .
Pakistani army must drop such ideas and deny it if this is a figment of imagination .
One more thing , this usage of TWITTER by ISPR or defence minister or anyone is dangerous for the state and I mentioned it before . These are hijackable commodities and unfit for nuclear nations.
