Proudly I am one of those, I pay upto $2200 per trip including for my kids 1-3 times a year. It is always worth it.
I love spending money when I am home, I feel I am contributing.

Since Last 10 Years Or So , Middle Eastern Airlines Start To Provide Cheap Tickets Majority Travel On Foreign Airlines Therefore There $2000.00 Ticket Is NOT Helping Pakistan Economy. Rest Who Travel On PIA, There Air Line Tickets Helping Airline Mafia.
If Pakistani Who Are Living Aboard Want To Help Pakistan There Are Some Other Legit Ways. For Instance, Sponsor A Poor Widow Family, A Child Education, Repair Your Local School, Donate A Bullet Proof Jacket To Police/Rangers.

I agree and once again with humility I disclose that Alhamdulillah I am sponsoring education for 10 kids in Pakistan. It does not cost that much but it is a source of some satisfaction for me. I do not disclose such things but I feel sometimes it is good so maybe another one of my brothers or sisters might take such a step just as some one inspired me to do this.
