--Yes brother any surgery can lead to some dysfunctions and deformity like prominent scars but more importantly the actions of particular group of muscles of the region of forearm and hand may get a bit affected,Insha Allah all will end up well.

Brother GeoG ! Kabhi Kabhi Mujhay in 'Bhai ke chelon' pe rehm aata hai. I don't know why I feel that they have been politicized by force. India ko kion burra kahain ye log jab in logon ne jaana hi India hai. Ye to burra ho in Pakistanion ka jinhon ne apnay mulk ko sambhala hua hai warna ye log to kab ke betaab bethay hain ke kab ye mulk tootay aur ye hindustan ko japphiaan dalain. God forbid.....

Loved ones are never harmed. Muslims love to fight for Islam & a common cause. Bhai, its a proof that "ALLAH (SWT) has not forgotton you! Do share some thing like your 'surgery' when communicating personally, at least. Dearest "GET WELL SOON". We need you desparately among US and you will Insha-Allah. Not to mention otherwise, but this pray is from the core of the heart of a fellow Muslim and Brotheren WHO is incidentally "Fasting' today!
