​Yes pity the nation poem is befitting for Pakistan no doubt.
In late 70's there was a civil war between many factions over who is better qualifies to govern in Lebanon.
The city of Beirut was the centre of the conflict and was divided into different zones for the fighting groups .
There were million ordinary people died who just ventured out of the houses to find some thing to eat and there were hardly any building left intact from pocks of bullets. many were reduced to rubble.
Martin fisk interviewed almost all the fighting groups leaders and all of them were convinced that they are right and no one else.
Robert Fisk writes in his pity the nation book that
"Sad part of it was all of the fighting groups were totally absent of the fact that collectively all the groups were responsible for the destruction of their own country Lebanon".
