Obama Says the US Can't Impose Peace in the Middle East.
Really?
For fairness sake and for the interests of the United States, he could have also announced that it is the Israeli government that blocks peace by its measures on the ground (grabbing more Palestinian lands, refusal to withdraw from the Palestinian occupied territories, and not allowing Palestinians to have their own state).
He could have done that if he wanted, but he did not.
He can also stop about $3 billion in aid to the Apartheid state of Israel from the US, which is sinking in more than $12.6 trillion of debt.
But can he do that?
In theory, he can do these measures against the rogue, Zionist, racist state of Israel.
He is the President of the United States, the only superpower of the world. He commands and controls the powers of the American Empire, which has more than 700 military bases in 156 countries.
In reality, he CANNOT.
This is because of the domination of the Israel Lobby over the US executive and legislative branches of government, the financial system, and the corporate media.
He also CANNOT do that because of the fanatical support of Christian Zionists, who support the Zionist state to the degree of showing themselves as more Israelis than Sharon and Netanyahu.
But what can Obama do?
He can continue providing the Israeli aggressors with all the weapons, financial support, and economic assistance they need to continue the subjugation and enslavement of the Palestinian people and the hegemony over all Arab states together.
And he is doing that in no different way than Bush and previous presidents did.
He can continue participation in the Israeli siege of 1.5 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, not only by the continuation of aid to the Israeli occupation government, but also by funding and supervising the Egyptian Steel Wall in order to complete the siege from the south.
And he is doing that in ways the Israelis cannot complain about.
He can also hold international agreements, such as the recent one with Russia in order to include more countries in the coming sanctions regime against Iran. This is in compliance with the Israeli decision to deny Iran any nuclear technology that may be used to produce weapons in the future. Ultimately, this keeps the Zionist state as the only nuclear power in the Middle East, which enables it continue the hegemony, intimidation, and subjugation of Arabs and Muslims in the region.
And he has superbly done that.
Finally, he can hold an international conference in Washington D.C. with the declared goals of denying access to nuclear weapons by organizations which may use them against the US and other countries. The real goal, of course, is isolating Iran further, and preparing the world for more actions against the Islamic Republic, such as an Israeli air strike and a NATO invasion.
And he has just done that.
And people were expecting CHANGE in the US Israeli-controlled foreign policy!!!
