It was just another day for high school students in Washington, D.C. until Former President Barack Obama, casually ambled into the classroom with a ""Hey, how’s it going everybody?”!
Former President Barack Obama made a surprise visit Friday to McKinley Technology High School, into a classroom full of stunned and elated students.
The students had gathered for a meeting when suddenly Obama walks in and says, ""The chancellor told me you guys were meeting, so I thought I’d stop by. How's everybody doing? Is that my seat? You don’t mind me crashing, right?”
Posting a photo of the interaction on Twitter, Mr Obama wrote: "Proud of these McKinley Tech students-inspiring young minds that make me hopeful about our future." And the disbelief on students' faces was just priceless!
The purpose of the visit was to encourage “the next generation of leaders” and is part of an ongoing series of conversations Obama is having with young people.
