He was never in favour. When imran khan did weekly dharnas in Ramzan he ridiculed by singing a song "sunday key sunday". Earlier when imran did the dharna in peshawar, he himself went there and did one show in favour but the next day when ch nisar spoke in assembly that it was sponsored by agencies, he endorsed ch nisar's view without any proof. Even before the peshawar dharna he used to critized imran evey now and called him taliban khan. At that time Mushataq was not against imran but once imran started to speak against Nawaz, Mushtaq also wnet against Imran.
