ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that some people were trying to create confusion regarding talks with the Taliban.
Talking to media here Sunday, Ch Nisar said some people might be talking to Taliban at their own.
Talks with the Taliban are a very complex and sensitive matter and will have to be handled carefully, he said.
He said government had completed its homework on policy and strategy about talks, adding talks would be initiated at a proper time. Taliban too were ready for the talks, he said.
Govt will not hide anything from people regarding the peace talks, Nisar said.
He said political parties would be taken into confidence after prime ministers visit to Karachi.
Earlier, BBC Urdu quoting a Pak official on condition of anonymity had claimed that Pakistan has begun talks with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP),
The BBC said that the TTP has also confirmed preliminary talks with Islamabad.
The official, who refused to elaborate on what sort of benefits Pakistan was getting through the talks, said that the government had already done its homework for negotiations.
Denying this report, Pakistan government said no secret talks were taking place with the Taliban.
