LAHORE: No relief for Railways as well as passengers has been witnessed as the government crosses 100 days mark.
Engines not in condition to work; Rawalpindi, Karachi and Faisalabad train operations affected.

On the completion of 100 days of the newly elected government of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz, the passengers of railways are still unsatisfied with the services provided to them. Freight and containers special train facility has not yet been provided to the traders and business community.

The engines have failed which have increased problems of the passengers. No facility has been provided to railway stations other than Lahore and Rawalpindi. The container train service for traders has also been suspended, although it provided revenue for the department of railways.

Rawalpindi, Karachi and Faisalabad section are affected because of flawed train operations.

میرے خیال میں عوام کو ریلوے اور بجلی کی بہتری کے لئے ن لیگ کو 6 مہینے کا وقت دینا چاہے. اس کے بعد شہباز شریف کا نام بدل دیا جائے

Pakistan Railways remove Ghulam Bilours ban after 5 years

Mirza Hassan

LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways has resumed cargo services on trial basis after the termination of 5 years in order to facilitate passengers and traders.
Pakistan Railways officials announced for resuming the cargo services in order to tackle financial issues of the crisis-hit national department which was closed by former Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmad Bilour in 2008 for cut out fiscal burden.
The officials said that the railways department would generate significant profits via continuation of cargo services as well as facilitate locals for their domestic and consumer goods transportation.
It should be mentioned that the government-led department for goods transportation provides facilities to the local passengers and especially traders for moving their commodities on lowest rates as compare to private freight companies.
