Rawalpindi: Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Asif Ghafoor, on Monday termed BBC’s new story titled “Uncovering Pakistan's Secret Human Rights Abuses” as pack of lies.
The spokesperson of Pakistan Army stated, “News story published by BBC on 2nd June 2019, titled Uncovering Pakistan's Secret Human Rights Abuses is pack of lies and in violation of journalistic ethos.
The issue is being formally taken up with BBC authorities.”

“The story carries conjecturing implicating Pakistan Army without any proof. The angling, spinning and credibility of the story is exposed from the fact that contrary to published claim, ISPR only received a judgmental questionnaire via email”, read the ISPR press release.
It further reads, “The BBC story lacks any credible and authentic source and merely relied on hearsay. The basis of the complete story on “So Called Strikes” quoting an unauthentic private TV channels news of 22 Jan 2014.”
“The people of Pakistan are well aware of the fake news phenomenon of all types and designs behind such undertakings. The issue is being formally taken up with BBC authorities”, read the statement.
