KARACHI: A constitutional petition has been filed in Sindh High Court (SHC) against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) referendum on ‘Taliban or Quaid-e-Azam s Pakistan , Geo News reported.

The petitioner Haji Gul Ahmed has pleaded that holding referendum on sensitive issues is the sole prerogative of prime minister with the approval of parliament.

Any political party or individual cannot hold such referendum.The petitioner prayed that MQM s referendum is treason against country s law and constitution besides an act against parliament.

It may be mentioned here that MQM had announced to hold referendum asking people if they wanted Quaid-e-Azam s Pakistan or Taliban s Pakistan on November 08.

They are keeping topi from there head to Taliban, there is nothing like anything where u go and say they are taleban. Although MQM have there own agenda to change the mind set of Karachi people because of the coming election. But I m sure InshAllah people of Karachi realize and regect both option and say Insanoo ka Pakistan.
